Introduction

Digital Darta Chalani (डिजिटल दर्ता चलानी) is an initiative of the Government of Nepal designed to digitize the traditional process of registering and dispatching official documents. • To support Nepal’s vision of a digital government and smart administration.

Implementation

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MoCIT) and the Department of Information Technology (DoIT) have introduced Digital Darta Chalani in many central, provincial, and local government offices. It allows offices to digitally receive (Darta) and send (Chalani) letters and files using an integrated platform.

Benefits

  • Faster and secure communication among government offices.
  • Permanent digital record storage and easy search facility.
  • Paper and cost savings across departments.
  • Transparency and accountability in official correspondence.

Conclusion
